Mental Health Counseling means the cost of mental health counseling services provided to the Insured by a vendor that we approve.
Emergency Transportation means the costs for:
a) airfare, train, bus, or rental car, as well as lodging and meals expense while traveling to the Insured’s or Family Member’s primary residence from an Approved Area as a direct result of a Violent Event, Violent Act or by being Witness to a Violent Act; or
b) airfare, train, bus, or rental car, as well as lodging and meals expense to travel to another Insured or a Family Member in an Approved Area who was involved in a Violent Event, Violent Act or Witness to a Violent Act.
Lost Wages means the compensation lost as a direct result of a Serious Bodily Injury suffered by the Insured during a Violent Event where the Insured was not being able to return to work as a result of the Violent Event.
Funeral Expenses and Return of Mortal Remains means the expenses for transportation of the body to a funeral home; preparation of the body (embalming, in cosmetic preparation or cremation); purchase of burial container (casket, urn or other container); a suitable facility for viewing, visitation, and memorial services; transportation of the body to the cemetery; purchase of cemetery plot; and purchase of a headstone. Includes the cost of repatriating remains and transporting the deceased body from an Approved Area back to the United States.
Pet Care means the costs as a result of a Violent Event to board a domesticated animal that resides within the Insured’s primary residence.
In-Home Care means the costs for in-home care that an Insured who suffered Serious Bodily Injury during a Violent Event can no longer provide for another Insured or Family Member, as a result of a Violent Event, including but not limited to medication administration, bathing, dressing and meal preparation.
Child Care means the costs for afterschool care, overnight care and other child care facilities operated by licensed professionals, to provide child care services that the Insured who suffered Serious Bodily Injury during a Violent Event can no longer provide as a result of the Violent Event.
Coverage shall apply only to child care costs for children under the age of eighteen (18), living with the Insured and for which the Insured has legal responsibilities.
Alarm and Lock Installation means the cost to purchase and install a home alarm system by a reputable home security company and the cost to purchase and install new locks for the Insured’s residence where a Violent Event took place. This does not include the costs to actively monitor or otherwise maintain a home alarm system.
