Our Berkley Re team in Australia was originally formed around a group of highly experienced and seasoned underwriters. Over time the team has grown with the addition of broader skills and expanding the capabilities of the team across the many disciplines needed in a modern reinsurance business. Today we have a well-connected team of actuaries, underwriters, claims and finance people working together to deliver on our promise to our reinsurance partners. Our autonomous, decentralised structure further allows us to operate outside the bureaucratic channels that often constrain our market competitors.
We are committed to “acting local, thinking global.” Our branch network operates out of Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, with locally empowered underwriters operating in each marketplace.
